I'm Sakshyam Baral, a full-stack developer from Nepal. Laayo is the food and grocery delivery app I founded in Birtamod, Jhapa. You order from local restaurants and shops in the app or at laayo.com.np, and Laayo's own riders bring it to your door while you follow them live on the map.

What Laayo does differently

Its own riders. Every order is carried by a Laayo rider, and one support team answers for the whole delivery.
Live tracking. You see each step of the order and the rider on the map from pickup to your door.
Food and groceries in one app. Restaurants and grocery shops share one cart, one wallet and one order history.
The fee before you pay. The delivery fee is worked out from distance and shown in the cart.
Order for later. Pick a delivery time in 30-minute slots.
Help from a person. Report a problem from the order screen and chat with support in the app.

What I built

Laayo is four apps working together: the customer app for Android and iPhone, the website at laayo.com.np, an app for restaurants to take orders, and an app for riders with live GPS. They run on one platform that we build and run from Birtamod.

Restaurants in Jhapa can join through Laayo's restaurant sign-up, and riders can apply through the rider sign-up.
